Merry Christmas!!!
I decided for my Christmas Blog entry I would list a few gifts I am grateful for. I know you are supposed to be grateful at thanksgiving time or something, but in my family we have a tradition on Christmas eve to go around and tell each other what we are thankful for and what we love about each family member. My whole family gets a little weepy and so we all dread doing it a little bit, but in the end we are happy we expressed our love and gratitude.

So I am going to list some gifts I am sooo grateful for( and I apologize if this is at all cheesy):

My family. They are pretty dang awesome! I love them more than I could ever express. They are my best friends. I love the same sense of humor we all share and the great discussions we can have.

My BEFFs. It is hard enough to find one best ever friend for ever, but I am blessed enough to have four(They know who they are)! They are loyal, stalwart, amazing and oh did I mention fun!

My Roommates. We have a little too much fun together!

All my friends old and new. Friends give me a reason to be happy!

The Restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ. All the truth and gifts that entails( with gratitude to Joseph Smith for being the instrument to bring all this light and truth back).

The Savior, His love, His Atoning sacrifice, His grace!

My Heavenly Father. I can't begin to express all my gratitude to Him.

The privilege to live in America with all the freedoms I enjoy.

My Travels the past few years.

My Mission to Illinois Chicago North ( The growth that occured and the friends I made).

These are only some of the big ones! There are so many more gifts I am grateful for, but I think I covered the major ones. So to all of you reading this (friends, family, acquaintances) : you are one of the gifts I am grateful for, so thank you for giving me more purpose, joy and happiness in my life.

With all my love, Myra

The Funniest Kid I know: Vinnie The brother.

He really is hilarious! One of my favorite things he does is his "Phyllis" impression. Phyllis is not a real person, just a fictional character in Vinnie's wild imagination. It all started one day when my mom found a message written on a paper next to the phone that said: Mom, Call Phyllis. My mom asked Vinnie "Who is Phyllis?" and then Vinnie proceeded to explain he just made her up. My mom has a lot of "special"(like eating-the-paste special) friends. They often call her with problems etc. And so Vinnie just made another friend up. Recently he made up an answering machine message in which he is pretending to be Phyllis. He says" Hi, Susan this is Phyllis. Give me a call back.Me and Doreen are goin' to Denny's for lunch. I am hungry. I think I am going to get the moons- over- my- hammy!" He says it in a really deep, grunt-like, female voice. It is so much more funny in person. He does several other impressions of made up people as well as real people and my whole family just laughs hysterically. He keeps us entertained! And this is the reason he is the funniest kid I know!

This is what we do on Saturday nights!
Erika is pretending to eat pumpkin innards
....So since moving to Las Vegas my roommates and I have been trying our hardest to make friends. It
hasn't been an
easy task, but we are working our hardest (which will make us our smartest). This was a Friday the 13th party on a Saturday. We had our best turn out yet... I believe there was approximately 17 people there.

We played some fun games, carved pumpkins and watched Disney's Watcher in The Woods (if you haven't watched this recently you really should!) I haven't watched this movie since I was a kid and I thought it was creepy then. Now it is still creepy in a different way. Rent this movie! It is hilarious! Make sure you get the DVD with the alternate endings, they are quite entertaining. Liz and I got in a little pumpkin innards fight... It was quite violent (Liz gave me a fat lip!). This is a photo after it occurred.

Let's just say Erika got a little carried away with the whole Watcher in the Woods thing.... she started to believe she was one of the characters named Karen! She kept reaching out to us and saying "help me"..... No need to worry, we are getting her professional help.

!

My New Car! Isn't she cute! It is so nice to drive a little car! I am so used to driving a station wagon and so now I am so amazed when I can pull into parking spaces so easily. It is a 2002 Saturn SL1. And it only has 33,000 miles on it! Not bad for a four year old car.

I have been thinking about naming the car, Betty or Daisy.
I can't decide which one suits her.... If you have any opinions let me know?
Isn't she a beauty!? I love, love, love having a new car!

I am in love with Jim and he is a fictional character!

...So I woke up this morning, at 5am, on the wrong side of the bed (who wouldn't at that horrid hour). I was Miss Grumpy- Pants as I got ready and drove to work. When I sat down at my computer still grumpy I opened my email, as I normally do... And there was an email from my Cassidy. Within this email was something so amazing it changed my whole countenance from rage to joyful bliss. A smile spread across my face as I saw a photo of Jim, the love of my life. Alright so I know he is a fictional character on a TV show(The Office), but he is perfect! He is kind, funny and did I mention HOT! I would marry him if I could! What? Can't a girl dream!
Did I mention that I am a receptionist, just like Pam, so we would be perfect together!

The Infamous Niece! Sophie!
For those of you who don't already know this: I LOVE my niece Sophie to pieces! She is two years old now and no longer a baby. She is one of the cutest little
girls in the whole wide world. She makes the funniest faces and imitates everything she hears and sees. She has started to sing the huffalump song from Winnie the Pooh and at the end she blows and laughs. It is adorable.
I love her huge lips! They are somewhat accentuated in this photo. So don't you agree with me that she is one of the cutest little girls in the world!

Single, By Natasha Beddingfield. These are words to live by! This is a shout out to all my single BEFF's. I love this song. Everytime I listen to it I feel enpowered! So this is my single status! My declaration of independence!
"Ah yeah that's right All you single people out thereThis is for you Yeah I'm not waitin' around for a man to save me(Cause I'm happy where I am)Don't depend on a guy to validate me(No no)I don't need to be anyone's baby(Is that so hard to understand?)No I don't need another half to make me whole Make your move if you want Doesn't mean I will or won't I'm free to make my mind up You either got it or you don't[Chorus:]This is my current single status My declaration of independence There's no way I'm tradin' places Right now a star's in the ascendant I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna be I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna be Ah yeah uh huh that's right Don't need to be on somebody's arm to look good(I like who I am)I'm not saying I don't wanna fall in love 'cause I would I'm not gonna get hooked up just 'cause you say I should(Can't romance on demand)I'm gonna wait so I'm sorry if you misunderstood[Repeat Chorus]This is my current single statusMy declaration of independenceThere's no way I'm tradin' places Right now a star's in the ascendant I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna be I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna be I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna be I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna be Everything in it's right time everything in its right place I know I'll settle down one dayBut 'til then I like it this way, it's my way Eh I like it this way Make your move if you want doesn't mean I will or won't I'm free to make my mind up you either got it or you don't'Til then I'm single This is my current single status My declaration of independence There's no way I'm tradin' placesRight now a star's in the ascendant This is my current single status My declaration of independence There's no way I'm tradin' places Right now a star's in the ascendant I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna be I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna be I'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna beI'm single(Right now)That's how I wanna beOh, oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh... This is Amy, Me, Liz and Erika on our
crazy night out on the Strip(and when
I say crazy I mean we dressed crazy,
consumed no alcohol and spent most
our night in a toy store). Viva Las Vegas!
Also you can see The Bellagio water
show is occurring behind us. The water
moving to music is one of my favorite
things about Las Vegas. We don't have
anything like that in Utah!

This is Amy, Me, Liz and Nancy in the
more scenic part of Vegas (Red Rock).
Note: The girls in the middle (Liz and I) are not "holding hands". I am just trying
to help Liz get a bug off of her hand......
I am really considerate like that.

I just wanted some photos on my blog and what better photo could I pick....

So I kinda feel awkward writtting a post, when I am the only one who will read it! It might not be socially acceptable to talk to ones self, but I will do it anyway. So I am really doing this blog thing so I can post photos for my friends and family to view. Now that I live in Las Vegas, I don't see my close friends and family all the time.... sigh... and this will help us remain close... I hope.
